About
Inspired by Mustang Camp, a non-profit organization gentling captive wild horses for adoption, Anja and Ben opened Mustang Studio as a Santa Fe satellite location. Some of the horses rescued by Mustang Camp come to Mustang Studio for additional training and to find adoptive families, continuing their journey to a life with people.
At Mustang Studio we train horses with positive reinforcement. This creates trust, collaboration, and non-coercive human-horse communication and learning. We are grateful to our teacher, Dr. Patricia Barlow-Irick, who has gentled hundreds of rescued equines at Mustang Camp using humane, science-based methods.
Mustangs for Adoption
Phantom is a calm and sweet little gelding who brings experience and maturity to our herd. After living the wild stallion life, he has now learned to seek the company of his human partners.
